It is odd how long names are nick named for people; Richard/Rick, Robert/Bob —to shorten for —convenience? or some unambiguous other form of friendship possession 

but one syllable named people —others add more to…? 

I’ve had so many fun ones invented for me. Chris gave me a choice—it was between  dawneth or dawnage; I took the latter which caught on at my work place at the time where I was forever known as; some sleepy town down a Detroit suburb street 

I liked it because it conjured something like Elizabethan; the age of dawn. A beautiful renaissance…. i wish to create my artistic dream world to bring on a new dawn; we’d call it dawnage. dawnage is a word in my dictionary
